چکیده

The accuracy is important for a 3D whole body scanning system. In order to analyze the measurement error, a set of dimension-certified measurement equipment whose true dimensions were certified was introduced. The calibration models of height, breadth and depth measurement between measured values and true dimensions were established respectively and relevant error envelopes were derived. A verification experiment was conducted to determine the validity of these models. The accuracy of this scanning system can be improved by using the calibration models to obtain more accurate 3D human models. Key-Words: 3D whole body scanner, Calibration model, Measurement error, Error envelope, Anthropometry

Design and construction of a portable unite for measuring body-fluid components

Introduction: In the laboratory, the time required to measure body-fluids components is usually one to two working days. The laboratory methods require sample preparation and instrument cleaning after the sample reading. In emergency scenarios, the physician does not have much time to make a clinical decision. To solve these challenges, a portable system for measuring the body fluids components...

A Novel System-Level Calibration Method for Gimballed Platform IMU Using Optimal Estimation

An accurate calibration of inertial measurement unit errors is increasingly important as the inertial navigation system requirements become more stringent. Developing calibration methods that use as less as possible of IMU signals has 6-DOF gimballed IMU in space-stabilized mode is presented. It is considered as held stationary in the test location incorporating 15 di...

Calibration and evaluation of water infiltration models in different soil textures

Accurate estimation of water infiltration into the soil is important for the design of irrigation systems. Therefore, calibration of different models is necessary to estimate the permeability in different regions. The aim of the present study was to calibrate and evaluate the models of Kastiakov, Kastiakov modified, Philip, SCS, Novell, and Horton in different soil textures. To evaluate the acc...

Calculating Body Segment Inertia Parameters from a Single Rapid Scan Using the Microsoft Kinect

Many biomechanical analyses rely on the availability of reliable body segment inertia parameter (BSIP) estimates. Current processes to obtain these estimates involve many time consuming manual measurements of the human body, used in conjunction with models or equations. While such methods have become the accepted standard they contain many inherent errors arising from manual measurement and sig...

An Efficient Algorithm for General 3D-Seismic Body Waves (SSP and VSP Applications)

Abstract The ray series method may be generalized using a ray centered coordinate system for general 3D-heterogeneous media. This method is useful for Amplitude Versus Offset (AVO) seismic modeling, seismic analysis, interpretational purposes, and comparison with seismic field observations. For each central ray (constant ray parameter), the kinematic (the eikonal) and dynamic ray tracing system ...
